You could also use RMTCMD kicked off by the job scheduler on the AS/400 to initiate your batch file.

We use the NT AT command to do this. There's also a job scheduler in the Win95 plus pack, and McAfee AV scheduler will also work. All you need is something that will initiate a bat or cmd file.
