As good Swedish Stefan stated, if you have that bloody 657 on your black
screen, it's a host name error.

After you specify the AS/400 IP address, CA adds it to your host file.
For one reason or another this operation is not working for you. The
host file is used only for 5250, that's why you have the other
connections only.

You have to manually edit the file <HOSTS> which is usually in your main
Windows directory. In case the file is empty and you need its proper
syntax, you have a sample file <HOSTS.SAM> in the same directory. The
file is pure ASCII, use NOTEPAD.

I had exactly the same problem one year ago, this was my solution.
