  • Subject: QLUS locks device - cannot vary off.

Anyone shed any light on this:

Customer on V4R2 has an ASYNC device that shows in FAILED status. The
device cannot be varied off (or on) 'cause job QLUS has it locked. The
customer has an A/B switch on the same comm port that they use to switch
between a synch and async modem. With the switch set to synch, an SDLC
line can use the port but the ASYNC line is useless. Any ideas on how to
release the lock short of an IPL?
