  • Subject: AW: How to delete a folder/library that is parallel to QDLS?

Hi Bill!

We had a similar "accident" recently.

I suppose, you have some directories in the
AS/400's "root" directory, AKA as the / Slash-Filesystem,
(See Msgs during IPL...) with names who are not system names,
like Q* or 'etc' or 'dev'...

You can see and manipulate the directories and files
at OS/400 green screen level using WrkLnk.
It is a sign of hope that YOU cannot manipulate them
with YOUR NT installation.
Somebody in your organization CAN. And HAS.

First, you have to clarify, who created the directories
and where the files in it SHOULD reside. I suppose, somewhere
in /QDLS/....
Then move the things to their supposed location.
Then edit the authority of '/'. *PUBLIC should have no
write privileges to it.
At last check the PC-AS/400-connections. There could be
logical drives who point to '/' instead of '/QDLS'.

Good Luck!
Rudi
