Bob, thanks for that pointer; I've used the ftp client on windows-nt
for several years and never looked at this help file. Particularly
the command list is quite helpful and appears to be a complete list
of the ftp commands supported by the Windows-nt ftp client.

Personally, I'd go for a more sophisticated batch scripting language
if I were writing "industrial strength" file transfers, but then
again, if it's running on a pc, it's just garbage, so who cares
about error checking, helpful messages, etc.

If you do care, you've got perl, visual basic, or delphi, all of
which can do a better job of scripting than cmd.exe.  Just my 2cents.
If you go for perl, get the net:: extension if you don't already have
it; that includes ftp protocol support.
