Terry:

Put the userid & password on a line by themselves... then the rest of your
commands...

For instance:

ftp mysystem.midrange.com < ftpscript.txt

----- ftpscript.txt -----
myuserid mypassword
prompt off
mput *.*
quit
----- ftpscript.txt -----
