  I have used Hays Optima and Ultra Modems on the AS/400 for DIAL IN.  I
have not been able to make them dial from the AS/400 despite the
apparent support for V.25bis Dialing.  Only exception is they support a
mode whereby when the line is varied on the modem dials the # in the
first memory location. (Used this on Controllers for backup dialin to
the AS/400).

  Please someone show me what I have missed.
