Hi at IGNITe http://www.ignite400.org we are working on a Perl centre for
the AS/400. We have a newer version than the one on CPAN which actually
supports native STDIN and STDOUT if anyone is interested in trying it.
Because we promote the 400 on the Net we see Perl as a vital element, with
all the existing code that's out there, if only IBM took the same view and
officially supported it.

We will be putting up an FAQ on how to get PERL running (although at the
moment the site is down because we are making the jump to V430). But when
its up come have a look and download the files.

Thanks
Bleddyn

Webmaster for Morpheus & IGNITe/400

http://www.ignite400.org/ do I really need Netfinity when I have an AS/400?

Jim,

Check out http://www.as400.ibm.com/workshop/perl.htm. The last I heard, it
was available but not supported by IBM.

HTH,

Mike Shaw
