If the topic isn't of interest to you or you don't want to respond, 
hit the delete key that's all.    How many of us are experts in every 
subject that comes across this forum?   Each of us would be asking 
newbie questions outside our sphere of expertise.  

If the question is basic and you want to help,  point to manual numbers,
or web sites(Pubs, redbooks, etc) or education options for the person.  

Everyone is a newbie on some subject.
