I've been hearing comments like this since 1986 when I began working on 
the S/38, the precursor to the AS/400.  Yet, IBM has continued to 
evolve and improve the AS/400.  And the demand for the AS/400 
has continued to grow.  

I know that our organization is firmly committed to the AS/400.  
We have AS/400, RS/6000, NT, Netware and OS/2 servers.   Five 
years from now, we likely have AS/400 and NT, and possibly 
Netware.
