     Do you use some sort of virus protection that initiates system scan 
     at times of low activity? Perhaps you have one of the "System 
     diagnostic" programs that  is supposed to find problems.

Subject: Win 95/98 empty A: drive activity...

My appologies for this being a bit off topic, but it's something that's 
bugging the heck out of us.   
     
With Win 95/98 there are seemingly random times when the CPU will attempt 
to access the A drive diskette...which is normally empty.  Does any one 
know why and what the heck is going on???
