  • Subject: Line/Controller configuration weirdness

Hey all,

A funny thing happened to me today, and I was wondering if anyone else
had run into it.

I was at a client site setting up sdlc/appn line and controller
descriptions for dialup passthru. A line already existed for the com
port, so I just copied the controller description, changing it to work
with our box. I left it attached to the existing line.

Configgerin' has never been my strong suit, but after I was done, the
line description was GONE! The original controller was still there,
but not attached to any line description.

I thought that was pretty weird, but I was pressed for time, so I just
decided to re-create the line description.

After creating the new (old) line again, (and maybe after attaching
my controller description to it) the original controller description
was now gone!

What gives? Any ideas as to how this could happen?

TIA,

Rick
