We've done it with no problems.  There really isn't much reason to recommend the
65535 CCSID, since it causes problems with other things like ODBC and CA/400 
file transfer as well.  The only "problem" we get is an occasional printer 
message indicating that it had to make a translation in the font, but we 
haven't 
seen any problems with the output, just the odd message in the printer job log. 
I would make the change.  Does anybody know why the untranslateable 65535 is 
still the default?
