Assuming that you're running Domino natively on the AS/400, the backup
is fairly straightforward.  End the Domino server with the ENDDOMSVR
command, and then save the /notes section of the IFS with the SAV
command.  You can even use the standard SAV DEV('/QSYS.LIB/TAP01.DEVD') 
OBJ(('/*') ('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT) ('/QDLS' 
OMIT)) UPDHST(*YES)

Today, Domino won't back up right unless you end the server.
