  • Subject: W95 FTP to a file with a trigger problem

Hi all.

I have a problem while using the FTP supplied with W95. I am sending a
file from my PC to a file on the AS/400. Attached to the file on the
400 is a trigger.

When I use the PUT or APPEND command, I get the following:

ftp> append c:\editest.txt tayedi/edidtapf
200 PORT subcommand request successful.
150 Sending file to member EDIDTAPF in file EDIDTAPF in library TAYEDI.
426-Cannot write to member EDIDTAPF in file EDIDTAPF in library TAYEDI.
426 Data transfer ended.
845 bytes sent in 0.00 seconds (845000.00 Kbytes/sec)

The error states that the data cannot be written to the file, but the
data IS written to the file. The trigger is fired, but it doesn't seem
to do any of the processing from the trigger program. The reason I
think the trigger program is fired is because it has a last used date
after the FTP.

If I use CuteFTP, it all works fine, the trigger is fired and the
processing works fine. Only with the W95 FTP program do I experience
this problem.

Anyone heard of this one?
