Of course, in most shops, the day-to-day requirements include knowing that
The Big Boss has a habit of turning off his PC without shutting it down,
and that's why it won't start up right in the morning.  Knowing that when
Mary in accounting's screen goes dark, it's because the janitor plugged in
the vaccuum cleaner and popped the ciruit breaker for the wiring closet.
Again.
