Try EXFMT CTLREC instead of EXFMT SUBFILE

        Subject: displaying a blank subfile

        Hi,
In a subfile I have, I allow the entry of a "Position to ......

        __________' field,
similar to how SEU works. When an entry is made that
positions the subfile beyond any recs in the file, such as a
cust # of all
        9's,
I want to display a blank subfile. So far I:
                1: turn *ON SFLCLR
                2: WRITE CTLREC
                3: turn *OFF SFLCLR
4: since 0 recs were written to the subfile, SFLDSP is
*OFF
                5: SFLDSPCTL is always *ON
                6: EXFMT SUBFILE
This just displays the same subfile that was displayed before
the
"Position to" entry was processed. I understand that SFLCLR
doesn't
actually clear the subfile, rather it just makes all the recs
inactive.
How do I get the subfile to appear blank?

        TIA!
        Dave
