  • Subject: Client Access / NT on IPCS

We need to setup a server to house about 400-500 mb of PC Data.

The software vendor (Timberline) recommends an NT server (doesn't
everyone?)

My question to this list is what are your thoughts on:

NT on IPCS to manage this database

or

Client Access Network Drives

or

Just get another NT Server

or

We are also evaluating a linux server (not yet available on IPCS)

This software is heavily I/O bound so that is also a consideration.

Any thoughts/suggestions will be very apprecaited. Any rantings/ravings
will be fully understood and sympathized with !

Thanks

John Hall
