  • Subject: Re: Is there ROUND OFF Function in RPG/400?

One suggestion is that in RPG we call this half adjust. Knowing this makes it
easier to find in the manuals.

In ILE RPG this is done using the half adjust operation extender. Examples:
CL0N01Factor1+++++++Opcode&ExtFactor2+++++++Result++++++++Len++D+HiLoEq
C     1             ADD (H)   1.5           X                 1 0
C     2             MULT (H)  2.5           Y                 2 0

In OPM RPG this is done with the following:
CL0N01N02N03Factor1+++OpcdeFactor2+++ResultLenDHHiLoEqComments
C           1         ADD  1.5       X       10H
C           2         MULT 2.5       Y       20H
... 1 ...+... 2 ...+... 3 ...+... 4 ...+... 5 ...+... 6 ...+..

Is this what you are looking for?

Subject: Is there ROUND OFF Function in RPG/400?

Sir,

I've got a program wherein, I want to calculate the rounded money value
to the nearest currency(Rupee in India) value. Without much coding, is
there any readily available opcode or utility for doing round off to the
nearest value? Please help me, as I want to complete this application.
