A lot of stuff on PC's are not supported by IBM.  Like Windows.

You can certainly use twinax cards in PC's with ethernet or token ring
cards.  It does not necessarily cuase hangs/lock ups on PC's.

The issue is to resolve hardware conflicts within the PC.  If the LAN card
is using the same I/O or interrupt as the twinax then, of course, neither
will work.  If there are no conflicts, the all is well and they can
co-exist.  

This is one reason the Synapse WinTwin adapter I sell/recommend/support is
so useful.  There are no DOS TSR's, no DMA, no Shared Ram, and no
interrupts consumed so it does not slow the PC down like the BOS Stealth
cards or make installation difficult (most other cards).  What's your time
worth?  I don't blame IBM by just saying we don't support twinax and LAN in
the same PC.  I feel like saying the same thing every day to some of my
customers.
