If I select the first one, 'All APARs by component', then I seem to be able to
view closed APARS. Any other selection is strictly informational APARs.

Search hints. From this mailing list I see that I can see messages by using
MSG prior to the message. For example MSGCPF1234, or even MSGTCP*. For SRC
codes on the unit I can look via SRC29040000. The clue seems to be that there
is no midstring search. Hopefully IBM follows these standards each time they
enter messages or SRC codes. Although I've had text from some of my problems
used word for word, even with my name as a sample file. One feature of using
the Internet to enter/update your problems. Any other clues other than MSG and
SRC? Is there a 'help on how to search' section?

If you can do that you should be able to access SERVIcelink (or are
already using it ?).
I can't give you a definite answer as things are different here in
Canada than they are in the US.
