Patrick

I am in the testing phase of just such a conversion. We used/are using
Target/400 and NCSPRO both. There are some things that each do well and
both are fairly inexpensive. Watch out for DFU's...especially the LIST
command. Does not go across well at all. Let me know if I can help in
this.

Subject: Native Conversion to AS/400

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------
 --
I currently consult with several clients who are using RPG II
applications
on the Advanced 36 platform. In some cases we are considering converting
these applications to "native" AS/400 as a preliminary step toward
Century
Date Compliance. I am looking for conversion software which will
automate
this process as much as possible.

I plan to evaluate ProStart from ASNA and Target/400 from Excel
Programming
Innovations. Please reply with your experiences with these packages.

Also, let me know if you have any other suggestions regarding automatic
conversion software.

Thank you,

Patrick Somers
