PC support does an acceptable job if you convert packed fields to formatted 
alpha (leading sign, explicit decimal). This will produce a columnar record 
which can be imported into MS Excel.

I believe that if you set the clock back 13 years the days of the week come out 
correctly. Just remember to add 2013 to the year when you print those payroll 
checks. Is it temporary, or does this company also have horse drawn delivery 
vehicles? <g>
