  • Subject: Rumba question?

Hi all,
I currently use Rumba and this is the way I get an AS400 spool file onto
the PC as a .TXT file.

1)CPYF (mainfile) to *print *char

2)CRTPF (generic file) at 133 long.

3)Look up printout information like Job/User/Number and note it.

4)CPYSPLF from the spool file to the (generic file) from step 2.

5)Do a Rumba file transfer to the PC as a .TXT file.

Seems like it should/could be easier than this, am I missing something?
Is there a better way?
