How about this ...

1) Create a copy of the file in question. 
2) Delete all records from the file.
3) Run the program - It should bomb out on the first record it is trying
to read.  This information should be accessible through a program
dump/joblog 
4) Copy up to that record # from the original file.
5) Run the program again.  Repeat until no more errors.

This should work for you unless the records are not processed in
sequential order.  If they are not in order then only copy 1 good record
and fill the rest with bad data (Decimal data errors)
