Hi, any MS Access and AS/400 experts?. In Access when you do a link table
is there a way to tell Access how the fields in the table are set up? What
I mean is it can see the fields and know what type they are, but it doesn't
seem to know how to configure the length. For instance, we have a Social
Security Number field and it knows it's a number, but it does not know that
the field has been set up to be length of 9. It uses integer or long
integer and does not specify a length. It sets up a field to be longer than
9 and the data fields on the AS/400 file are incorrect.

 Any help would be appreciate.
Thanks,
