Booth,

I generally build the display or printer file, and have it reference fields in 
the database. Work fields generally are enough like the corresponding database 
field that they can be used. If they are accumulating totals, just use +2 (or 
whatever seems appropriate) for the size. The RPG program then can reference 
the fields defined in the printer or display file. It won't work the other way 
'round.
