Are there any AS/400 Security FAQs? I am a AS/400 newbie. I am assigned the
task of tightening the security on 4 AS/400 production servers. The key goals
are to,

* Check the current system logs, and application logs if possible
* If no logs, start the logging process.
* Make sure the system libraries are secure for any type "hacking" activity.
What is the best place to start? Any commands or texts that, I should read about.

The best thing that you can do to learn about security is to go to a Wayne Evans (former IBMer - he basically designed AS/400 security) he talks at COMMON frequently, as well at other conferences. Also Carol Woodbury (the new Wayne, but she's better looking) is also excellent.

IBM has been previewing a Security Wizard, which is expected in the next release of OS/400. This will help you set your security System Values, which will basically set your security policies.
