You mentioned that there may be compiler version difference. But I tried to
compile the source both as a module (using Option15 of PDM) and as a program
object (using Option 14 of PDM). When I compiled as a *PGM (option 14) I didnto
face any probs. The object is created . But when the same source when I tried
to compile as a *MODULE (using Option 15), I got the errors that I mentioned.
The difference of time between the two compiles is just 5 mins, not a time to
install a new version of compiler !!!!!

So I am a little bit confused as to what is happening.
