I have set up a CA console. You must have the special Console cable for the
AS/400 system connected to a com port on the PC. The PC /console should be
on before powering up the 400. It is just like having a real 5250 console

Has anyone used the Client Access PC console feature? I was wondering
what the downsides were to using it. The (thin) IBM manual only warns
that you won't have a console printer. What other disadvantages are
there?

Thanks.
