TCP may be a good way to go, but I prefer the simple things in life.  I have a
printer session defined in Client Access that connects to "FILE:".  It is 
defined as
Generic/Text Only.  Send the spool file to this and you will then be dowloading 
to a
text file on your PC.  No cpysplf, just normal operations.

Regarding Monarch: I too always thought they had a download package, but it 
doesn't
matter any more after using the above method.  I have found it most useful and
powerful.  I really should order the new 32-bit version for my NT system.  I 
have so
far not found a report that I couldn't parse what I needed.  But of course that
doesn't mean they don't exist.
