Letters to the Editors

Hi all

I received a letter from David Pendery (of the Compaq 64 bit article fame).
   I guess that we have 
made an impact.    He and his editor (Carolyn April) have received tons of
mail.   He has asked me to ask you all to call a "Truce"  so to speak on
the both of them.      He has got the message!!

He was polite and said that his editor was getting frustrated with the
volume.  

I wrote him a short note (if you want to hear what I had to say,  send me a
private Email & I will forward
it to you)  saying that we were not fanatics or the like,   we were just
normal hardworking IT people
who are extremely frustrated by the lack of news about the AS/400 while at
the same time constantly reading about things that may not be ready for 1-3
years(NT5.0  ,  Merced,  Alpha,  etc, etc)

So If you can give David Pendery and Carolyn April a breather.       We
wanted to bring awareness,
(which I think we have)  but not enemies,  which we haven't,   so far.    
I guess we all did have an 
impact after all.

(Maybe write and tell them thank you for listening and being open)
