What is 'Console'?

1. The device needed for DST/manual IPL and such when OS/400 is not running?
Why not look for a cable-switch? You probably only need one at a rare time.
2. The device that is in break-mode on QSYSOPR? I have heard of several
products. Try Help/system fo a start. It's well known here in DK, but I have no
specific oppinions on it - god or bad.

Is there any chance IBM alerts is what you really need?
See IBM "OS/400 Alerts support" manual.
