However, I believe someone bitched about the 620 cable covers with the
power kill 'feature' before, and I thought there was supposed to be a
solution to that ?  Maybe they only implemented it in new production and
haven't offered to fix the machines already sold ?  Anyone know more on
this ?

YUP, my S20 "HAD" that "FEATURE"... They can be detached from the CABLE
covers and plugged in. I then left the CABLE covers off, just run with
the rear dress cover.
