Different strokes...

I agree that using the mouse is often slower than using the keyboard.
That's why I don't usually use it to navigate between windows. Instead, I
use Alt-Tab repeatedly as needed to get to the window I want.

The other advantage of multiple sessions is the same as using a
multiple-session dumb terminal: I can see both side by side (or over and
under), and neither one is suspended. In other words, I can fire off some
process, say a Query or SQL statement, and then, while waiting for that to
finish, get other work done at the same time. Of course, this requires more
system resources, but I believe that the system is there to serve the user
(namely, me, etc.), not that the user should serve the system. Ergo, I'm of
the opinion that we should see what helps total productivity and then try
to get the hardware/software to support the work at hand.
