Rick,

Using *PRTFs rather than 'O' specs enables users to provide translations,
add additional constant text, and/or move things around in printed
reports without having to have access to (and possibly mess up) the RPG
program generating the report.  As pointed out by others, some of the
more advanced printer options are also a whole lot easier with DDS...
