Hello Booth,

I haven't used JBuilder but Java on the /400 is fine with VAJava.  

Using the Toolbox for Java should give similar response to any other client 
tool.

Don't expect server Java programs to respond like native applications though.

50-60 jobs on the /400 does sound like something going horribly wrong!  Which 
job was taking all the CPU?  What 
were you doing in the demo?

Are you using the Redbooks "Accessing the AS/400 with Java" ( about the 
toolbox) and "Building AS/400 
Applications with Java" (about the server)?  If not then check them out!
