Not easily.  However, why save them.  

When you create the journal receiver, specify the THRESHOLD parameter,
which is the size at which the threshold message will be sent.

Then when you create the journal, MNGRCV(*SYSTEM), and then the system will
automatically change them when the threshold is reached (as well as at IPL
time).

Furthermore, if you specify DLTRCV(*YES) when specifying MNGRCV(*SYSTEM),
the system will automatically delete the receiver when it's no longer
needed for commitment control or referential integrity.
