  • Subject: TCP/IP printing problem

I am attempting to connect an Epson DXF5000 printer via a HP Jet Direct EX
card to the AS/400 version 4.1 - 620 e-series.  I have created the
following outq description:

===> CRTOUTQ OUTQ(TEST) RMTSYS(TEST) RMTPRTQ(TEST) CNNTYPE(*IP)
DESTTYPE(*PSF2)
 MFRTYPMDL(*EPDFX5000)

I have entered the appropriate TCP/IP Host Table Entry that contains the IP
Address for printer TEST.

The printer prints spool files but it consistently stops in the middle of
the spool file or it re-prints the same page over and over again. The TEST
writer joblog shows the following errors.

Not able to send the specified data.
Send request failed for spooled file R063001.

Second level help suggests that I End TCP/IP and re-start it. This doesn't
work.

Also, we have found that we can not connect to our RISC system using
NSRouter. We can connect via TCP/IP.

Any assistance is appreciated.  TIA
