Day 2...

For starters, let me do a little cleanup.  I may have stepped on a few
good well meaning toes with my registration comments.  Didn't intend
anything personal.  Sorry Jeff, et al.

Day 2:

Off to a stong start....the day after kickoff's usually the first busy
one.  Sessions are running out of handouts and blowing out as usual...

Fax/400 hasn't the presence that I thought it would....is IBM going to let
it die?   There wasn't any fax/400 that I saw at Expo...  And they got
their usual well deserved swift kick at Soundoff...

Speaking of expo, if you ever get the chance, watch them tear that thing
down!   ALso, why can't expo open at the same time as registration??????
There's NO REASON why we're "sitting on our thumbs" between when
registration starts and the expo opens....and I'm not going to buy
"they're not ready" as a excuse...

Also, can they wireup a few workstations that we can checkin ourselves at
sometime on Sunday morning????  When you send the attendee his little mag
card, there's no reason to make them stand in a queue only to have some
temp run it through a mag reader???   Seems like that they could
streamline that with a early entry to expo...:)

Several of the expo vendors volunteered concern about the expo foot
traffic...

Well, I don't have to worry about hitting the gym....btw, how many laps
around the dome equal a mile???? :)

Soundoff was the usual....at least when I left it....  Al started it with
his recap of last soundoff...and actually used the "sucks"
word....Hmmm....  We saw some of the new marketing stuffs coming
down...but, Al, I don't think you fell too far from the point of
reality...

And it was nice to know that I wasn't the only one in San Antonio that has
his comments screwedup in the grapevine before they got home....
