This is one of those _very_ rare occasions where I have to disagree with
Bruce.  Although in practice perror may continue to be exported from this
service program there is no guarantee that it will.  The safer way to ensure
that you can always link to any C library function/data export is to specify
Binding Directory QC2LE on the CRTPGM command.  This has the added advantage
for RPG and COBOL users that the Binding Directory can be specified on the
CRTBNDxxx command so you can compile with a single command rather than the
CRTxxxMOD, CRTPGM combination.
