  • Subject: V4r2 CA/400 Network Neighborhood Enhancement

Has anyone tried going into Network Neighborhood and seeing an AS400
connection without actually being connected using CA/400. One of the
enhancements IBM stated that you should be able to do is loaded CA/400 from
the AS400 using Network Neighborhood on a WIN NT pc, though it does not
seem to work as claimed. Does anyone have any feedback. I was however able
to update my CA/400 from V3r1m2 to V3r1m3 after attaching to AS400 via
CA/400 and then mapping a drive in Network Neighborhood. If this process
works the way it was stated a pc would not need CA/400 installed and would
be able to see the AS400 and download the CA400 application to a PC. Any
information would be very helpful.

Thank You

Rich Garcia
