I am planning to install a 2617 Ethernet Card in our 9404. I realize that this
is a 10MB device. Since they are so inexpensive, I intend to install 10/100 MB
NICs in our PCs. If I install an autosensing 10/100 Ethernet hub, will this
allow me to have a 100MB LAN with a 10MB connection to the AS/400? BTW, this
is a CISC machine, I realize there is a 100MB card coming out for RISC
processors, but I have no plans to migrate in the near future.
