I believe the Bypass Signon feature is part of the V3R1M3 enhancements
for Client Access for Win95/NT.
V3R1M3 should be available Feb 27th. Existing users of 5763-XD1 should
receive a letter within a month or two from IBM to fax back and order.
You can probably contact your IBM rep if you want to get it quickly. It
should be a no charge upgrade. 5763-XD1 V3R1M3 also contains the code
to allow you to name the terminal sessions when using a TCP/IP
connection (so you aren't stuck with changing QPADEVxxxx names), and the
ability to use the PC5250 print emulation over TCP/IP (so no more need
for LPR/LPD to print to the printer attached to your PC - or using
AnyNet connection as a work-around).

The enhancements should work on OS/400 V3R2 for CISC, and all RISC
releases EXCEPT V3R6.
(Will probably require enabling PTF's for V3R2 & V4R1).

Subject: Client Access - Security Question

Hi! We are on an AS/400 running V3.2 and have been playing
around
with Client Access (latest PTF has been applied) on our own
machines
to check out security before giving it out to all of our users.
Is
it possible to eliminate the two sign-ons (the initial
connection
signin window then the standard AS/400 signon screen) without
filling in the default user? We don't want the system keeping
the
passwords for any users. Our need includes the use of the data
        transfer feature as well.

        Thanks for your help, Brenda
