Steve,  have  you looked  at any that have data agers, date simulation,
report and  data comparator functions?  [The full interrelated testing type
package.] That is about as mainframe as you get.

If that is the case and you still feel cost &  function are better built by
your firm  to use/market [whatever]  then of  course  you should make the
investment of development time. Time  against deadlines  beinga  key factor
