Juris,

I believe the first section of that APAR tells you to make sure that your
\Program Files\IBM\Emulator\Shared directory is in your path, and that the
"support 16 bit apps" checkbox is unchecked in the CA config, if and only if
you are running over IP or IPX (not SNA). It then goes on to advise you to
create a 32 bit datasource and use it just as if it were a 16 bit datasource.
In actual practice, FWIW, I haven't needed the shared directory in the path
though. Everything in there is apparently in the registry.

You imply that on some machines, the driver works. Have you tried reinstalling
ODBC to make sure that you don't have downlevel components out there somewhere.
Also make sure that you don't have any ODBC DLLs in other directories in the
path, as they may be downlevel and could be used in place of the correct DLLs.
You can get the ODBC install from the MS FTP site or the Technet CDs.
