To add to this thread,

I am also having shut down problems with 3.1.2 with SP SF45545 (and all
previous SP for 3.1.2.) The problem started to manifest itself whenever
both IE 4.x and CA 95/NT are installed together. With one of them
installed, i.e., IE4 by itself or CA 95/NT by itself, our ThinkPad shut down
fine, however, when both of them installed, welcome Win95 blue clouds! :(

I called CA/400 support, and the technician there informed me that they have
an APAR out for 5250 cards (? - I should have taken notes) and IE4 and
that development is working on it. He didn't know if it will be addressed
in the 2/27/98 SP for 3.1.2 release, but he did say that it won't be
immediately addressed for 3.1.1. There will be a fix for this in 3.1.3
whenever it is released.

I just hope that I won't have too many lost files, a corrupted registry and
etc. (Knock on wood.) Anyone else have any suggestions outside of
removing IE4? We are using the infamous NetSoft Router.

Randy W.
