I submit a batch job for each program product that has temporarily
applied PTF's (DSPPTF *ALL can show you which program products you need
to do this for).
You can submit them in a batch job (well, you could do it interactively
but the other users would probably want to kill you :-) ) to apply
immediately (assuming you are running on the 'B' side), or Delayed -
followed by an IPL with RESTART(*YES).

There seems to be several different ways to permanently apply
PTFs. I'm
        curious about
how most people do it. I'm following the Upgrade roadmap and
one of the
        steps is to
permanently apply PTFs. We've been running on the existing,
temporarily
        applied,
PTFs for some time without problems. We're on V3R2.

What is the safest way to permanently apply all PTFs?

        Thanks in advance,
        Marc Zylka (mzylka@netpath.net)
