I set this up as well. What I did is went to Microsoft's web site and
downloaded the Dial-Up Networking update 1.2 and the Winsock update. The
primary reason for this update is support for PPTP, but it fixes some
other bugs and adds SLIP capability without searching for it on the CD.
Be sure to load the Winsock update as well, since it is also needed for
PPTP.

After that, configure the PC to use the SLIP.SCR script and it should
connect fairly painlessly. If you need some assistance, feel free to
