I'm pretty sure that the older version of TCP/IP utilities supports
TCP/IP. You can override the INPUT and OUTPUT files to automate the FTP
session from the AS/400. The TCP/IP utilities were an extra cost item on
that machine, but maybe you can finagle a copy of it for the older
machine?
